About the artist:
I grew up in Bienne, a small city in the North of Switzerland. Creativity was encouraged in my family, and drawing was one of my passions. I lived a carefree lifestyle, surrounded by the beauty and sounds of nature, able to walk and bike everywhere. My home was perched close to the edge of a forested mountain, beckoning to me every day, and I always made sure to answer that call. I spent my time outdoors, in imaginative play with friends or alone, and in the contemplation of nature whose impressions are to this day a rich reservoir for my work.
I had the good fortune to enjoy the Swiss open-air markets, abundant with simple and delicious foods, grown and prepared by small regional farmers. Out of these experiences came my love for organic and sustainable living which led me to contribute illustrations and logos to the natural foods industry soon after a four-year graphic design study at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Bienne, my hometown.

In the last 30 years, I have worked as a graphic designer in the organic industry I so love, in both Switzerland and the United States. I have also created illustrations, painted traditional and sandblasted signs, designed book covers and invented an illustrated font I named: The Living Alphabet.
At this time, I am excitedly embarking on new creative journeys, happy to have the continuing opportunity to draw, write, paint and share my work.
I live in Asheville NC.
