A Mural Project :

One of my great loves is to create and share beauty through art.

There is a rising need to remember the feeling and expression of freedom, of innocence, beauty and imagination in response to global uncertainty and the pervasive influence of technology. 

Art is a compelling medium for transmitting generative messages. I am glad for all the artists who bring that quality in the world and, as a matter of fact, grateful for all the people who help dream, manifest and maintain a culture enriched by the celebration of diversity, community, family, respect and connection to the earth. 

My artistry is currently being directed to a most accessible visual art form: murals. A mural is free to enjoy, out in the open, a subliminal presence, like that of a beautiful tree, a morning sky, a view of the mountains on the horizon. 

I envision painting this image on a main street or a busy downtown corner in Asheville NC, where it can, at a glance, evoke a touch of its spirit: a city that inspires cutting edge visions for bringing about “the good life”.

This idea started a few years back with sketches.

The right wall is waiting and I wonder which one it will be.
